Sat, 24 Oct: Oktoberfest Fundraiser for Mayfair Memorial Playground

What: Oktoberfest Fundraiser

Who: Presented By SmokeEaters Pub, Mayfair Business Assoc., Mayfair CDC, and Mayfair Civic Assoc.

Where: SmokeEaters Pub 7681 Frankford ave

When: Saturday October 24th 12pm - 7pm

Why: To raise funds for the purchase of new playground equipment at Mayfair Memorial Playground on Rowland Ave.

Cost: $30 per person

Help support a great cause, and have some fun at the same time. SmokeEaters will host an Oktoberfest celebration in the tradition of a Beer Garden held outside in their large parking lot.

Many long tables covered in Blue and white checkered table cloths, a DJ playing "Polka" music and top 40 all day. Bratwurst, German sausage, hot dogs and sauerkraut, German potato salad, and huge Bavarian pretzels. The beer served will be Warsteiner, Becks, Lowenbrau, Budweiser, and Bud light....all supplied by SmokeEaters Pub. Penn distributors is donating 3000-5000 22oz cups, and all the signage needed plus a HUGE sign at the entrance of the Parking lot. The female employees of SmokeEaters will wear (St. Pauli Girl outfits), and will serve beer and food throughout the day.

Gift cards to local businesses be chanced off at 6pm, to raise additional funds.

All PROFIT will go to the playground fund of the MBA and Mayfair Civic Assoc.

This event will be to raise money to rebuild Mayfair Memorial Playground. This playground is dedicated in honor of fallen firefighter John Redmond, who, coincidentally is the honoree of next year's Mayfair Fallen Heroes Run that coincides with the Mayfair Business Association's "May Fair" festival. We plan to rededicate the playground the day of the Fallen Heroes Run.
