Mayfair Fallen Heroes Run and the Mayfair May Fair!!!

Let's do a word association exercise. If I say, "Sunny and 72 degrees" what's the first thing that pops into your head? The word "perfect!" right? As in perfect weather to do something outside with the kids in your own neighborhood? Exactly!! It's the 2013 Mayfair Fallen Heroes Run and the Mayfair May Fair on Saturday, May 18, 2013!!

Before you head over to the MFMF make sure you support a GREAT cause by either running or walking in the 2013 Mayfair Fallen Heroes Run 5K honoring Officer Chuck Cassidy. You can still register online here until Wednesday night or you can register the day of the run starting at 7:30am in the Lincoln High School Parking Lot on Ryan Avenue. The race begins at 8:30am and goes around Lincoln High School and Pennypack Park.

After you are done setting the world record (ok, the Mayfair record, but either way, it's more than I'm doing) you can head up to Frankford and Cottman for a neighborhood celebration sponsored by the Mayfair Business Association. We've got the Neighborhood Awards, a craft fair, the Mayfair Town Watch dunk tank.  The Original Soft Pretzel Factories Customer Appreciation Day is also being held with games, Moon Bounce and a pretzel eating contest!

Live music from AJ Slick & Soul to Soul, Mike LeCompt, and REV, military vehicles and entertainers. Bissirri's Pansy Garden and the Horticulture Academy of Lincoln High School will also be helping kids make their own potted plants!

It's a fun-filled family day so bring the kids up to the Avenue for some fun!!
