MFMF 2012--The Triangle Part 1

It's time for "Between Two Ferns" with the Mayfair May Fair. Just imagine we have 2 ferns alright? Here's a visual for you.
Now imagine 2 of them. No idea what I'm talking about? Google it.
Hope you are all having a wonderful Mother's Day and treating your special ladies right! My littlest guy loves me so much that he woke me up at 5:30am to tell me how special I was to him and to confirm that he is, in fact, the last child I will give birth to.

The MFMF 2012 is upon us so it's time to look a little more closely at what you can anticipate on Saturday! Let's hope the weather is a beautiful as it is today to ensure a great turnout! There are so many free, fun, family centered activities that you are sure to have a wonderful and inexpensive time!

So I would say that the Frankford-Cottman Triangle is going to be the main hub during the day for the MFMF 2012. From 10am-6pm there will be a huge stage set up with live bands and music to start with. If your little ones love to dance and listen to music this is the place to be!! My little ones also love to dance...unfortunately they dance like Elaine from "Seinfeld" but it makes it all the more fun to watch. Here's the amazing line-up:

Boss Hydro
Zengage ( formally known as T&N)
Rev
AJ Slick and Soul to Soul featuring performances by:
Joe Coyne
Mike McCullough
Terence Donnelly
Stems and Seeds
Mike LeCompt
and others!

And here's Elaine dancing:

Also at the Triangle the Police District Advisory Council will be there from 10am to 2pm with information tables, water ice, and giveaways. Also present will be police cars and one of the local fire engines. I have 2 boys and they LOVE anything truck related especially police cars and fire engines. Make sure you bring the kids by to visit!!

Not to miss out on all the family fun time, Charles Boland and ReMAXX City and Suburban will be having face-painting and balloons from 12pm-2pm for all the kids (and maybe some of the adults--like me. What? Don't judge me, judger.

And since this May Fair is all about bringing the community together, don't miss the Neighborhood Awards being given out on the main stage. The schedule is as follows:
 Presentation of Neighborhood Awards
11:55am The Mayfair Civic Association will be presenting the Mayfair Award to Monsignor McGroarty, pastor of St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church
12:45pm
Mayfair Business Association Business of the Year Award
15th PDAC's Crossing Guard of the Year Award

Come out and cheer on these dedicated individuals who work on making Mayfair great for you and your family!!

By the way,  did you get a babysitter yet for Mayfair After Dark in front of the Grey Lodge in the Devon District? You'd better hurry.....this one might be free.
